The new flat-less tire. After 10 years, Schwalbe has thoroughly overhauled the Marathon Plus. It features a new, dynamic profile and boasts many internal improvements.
Rolling resistance: The patented, 5 mm thick SmartGuard layer (Schwalbe Puncture Protection Level 6), when compared to all generic products, has a significant advantage in rolling resistance. Schwalbe further extended its lead in the latest version. The SmartGuard® layer is made from a flexible, special rubber offers particular resistance to shards of glass and flints. Even a thumbtack cannot penetrate this protective layer.
Recycling: Also in the SmartGuard, now a proportion of recycled rubber from old latex products is used.
"Anti-aging" side wall: The sidewall now lasts much longer before developing unsightly cracks when subjected to use with too low air pressure.
